National Voice Actor Day was this past Saturday, July 17th. It’s been recognized for several years and is shared with Tattoo Day, Emoji Day, Yellow Pig Day, Peach Ice Cream Day, and Taylor Swift Day. Seems like there are loads of national days, weeks, and months that are being shouted out on social media nowadays.
In the past, it used to be national days were proclaimed by governments. Nowadays, you can register a National Day on various websites, if you are a business, charity, or influencer brand.
There are some national days that have been created by social media users, which may be the case with the various voice actor days, as the exact origin seems unclear. Either way, as a voice actor, I am personally pleased with any days of recognition that apply to my profession. It’s a great opportunity to create content for social media accounts!
